The area we are working in is a complete tribal belt. While doing our work we found that due to the remote locations and segmented geographic locations, the health and hygiene facilities and very poor and many children died due to malnutrition. No clothes to wear, no healthy food, and every second child is malnourished or underweight. The area of implementation of our project is a mostly a tribal belt e. Trimbakeshwar and adjacent villages of Palghar district, Harsul, Peth, Surgana etc. Approximately 3.5 lakh females population residing in this area , out of which we found 8-10 thousand pregnant women every year. Early marriage, lack of awareness about health, poor health conditions cause severe anemia in them. Once a woman gets anemic in pregnancy period, shesuffered with it for life time, which also effects on mental health also. Due to anemic conditions infant mortality is always high, and even if the child survives, it also born malnourished with low weight and weak health conditions. A poor prenatal nutrition contributes to health risks.
